Description
Data Intelligence is looking for NQVs (Navy Qualified Validators) to fill roles in Washington, DC, Norfolk, VA and Charleston, SC supporting NIWC Atlantic.

Responsibilities: 
  • The NQV will be responsible for validating Navy information systems in compliance with the Department of Defense (DoD) and Navy cybersecurity frameworks. The NQV ensures that systems meet all cybersecurity standards and are prepared for risk management and accreditation. This role involves high-level coordination with system owners, Security Control Assessors (SCA), and other stakeholders to certify that security controls are correctly implemented and maintained.

Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering, or Mathematics with a concentration in
    computer science 
  • Preference for Master's degree Cybersecurity, Computer, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering, or Mathematics with a concentration in
    computer science preferred 

Experience:
  • Three (3) to Ten (10) years of notable experience preparing, implementing, and ensuring compliance with cybersecurity policy
  • Experience in Assessment and Authorization requirements. Including planning, implementing, upgrading, and/or monitoring cybersecurity measures to improve cyber defense and maintain a cyber-resilient network
  • Assess cybersecurity vulnerabilities for risks and propose and implement remediation actions or risk mitigation strategies
  • Ensure appropriate security controls are in place that will safeguard digital files and electronic infrastructure
  • Respond to computer security breaches to re-establish protections and make required reports.

Certifications:
  • Must have IAT level II or IAT level III at a minimum
  • Must have current NQV (Navy Qualified Validator) certification
  • Certification documents will be required 
  • Must have at least secret level security clearance, top secret clearance is preferred
