Data Intelligence, LLC is seeking an experienced Lead Systems Administrator (Windows) to support the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) IT Infrastructure Operations and Support Services in Dahlgren, VA. This role requires a skilled systems administrator with leadership experience in managing and supporting Windows-based systems and networks within secure environments.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee system administration tasks, including the configuration, installation, and management of hardware, operating systems, and COTS software for mission-critical systems.
- Lead efforts in system backup and recovery, performance tuning, and troubleshooting hardware/software/network issues.
- Manage and maintain network security tools, including firewalls, ensuring the integrity of the network infrastructure.
- Develop and implement system specifications, provide leadership in the procurement process, and perform market research for new system solutions.
- Provide expert-level support for various network protocols, including TCP/IP.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and implement strategies to identify and mitigate computing and networking vulnerabilities.
- Mentor junior system administrators and provide guidance in troubleshooting and system performance management.
Required Experience:
- Six (6) years of professional work and leadership experience in Windows system administration for networks and software systems.
- Proven experience in:
- System backup/recovery and software management
- Security and library management
- Hardware and COTS software installation and configuration
- Operating systems in various environments (sizing, performance tuning, and troubleshooting)
- Resource allocation (hardware/software/network troubleshooting)
- Proficiency in network security tools, including firewalls.
- Experience with system specifications development and performing market research procurement tasks.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, specifically TCP/IP.
- In-depth knowledge of computing and networking vulnerabilities and methods for detection and mitigation.
Required Certifications (IAT Level II):
Candidate must possess at least one of the following:
- CCNA-Security
- CySA+ (formerly CSA+)
- GICSP
- GSEC
- Security+ CE
- CND
- SSCP
Security Clearance:
- Top Secret (Active)
