Data Intelligence, LLC (DI) is searching for a full time Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) to support its NSWC-PD Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program effort. This position is fully on-site and requires a current, active security clearance (secret or higher). Successful candidates for this position will be strong with technical systems, systems administration, and information systems security.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) vulnerability scanning.
- Perform system patching, maintenance, and security updates.
- Implement, maintain, and remediate DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).
- Research, evaluate, and test mitigation strategies for residual cybersecurity risks.
- Create, maintain, and update system images.
- Develop scripts to automate system administration and maintenance functions.
- Maintain system hardware and software inventories.
- Perform system backup and recovery activities.
- Support network cabling and related system connectivity activities.
- Provide guidance and technical input for software installation and configuration, including DOORS software.
- Perform Windows system administration.
- Perform Linux system administration.
- Complete recurring monthly, quarterly, and annual system/security tasks as required.
- Prepare and provide monthly status updates.
- Support additional system administration and cybersecurity engineering activities as required.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Strong system administration skills in both Windows and Linux environments
- Experience administering, maintaining, and troubleshooting enterprise IT systems.
- Experience with vulnerability scanning and remediation (ACAS/Nessus preferred)
- STIG experience including implementation, assessment, and remediation.
- Experience with system patching and software maintenance.
- Experience creating, maintaining, or updating system images.
- Ability to troubleshoot cybersecurity and system configuration issues and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Experience with system backup and recovery processes.
- Scripting experience for system administration or automation tasks.
- Understanding of system and software inventory management.
- Ability to work hands-on with both cybersecurity requirements and system administration.
- Experience supporting security compliance activities in both Windows and Linux environments.
- Familiarity with IBM DOORS and/or supporting the installation and configuration of software applications.
Experience in the following are considered a plus:
- Experience supporting U.S. Navy, DoD, or other government systems.
- Experience working in an Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE), cybersecurity engineering, systems administration, or similar technical capacity.
