Description

DI is seeking a skilled Platform Engineer to join our team supporting our Agile product development team.

There will be onsite support (on average 2/3 times per month) to Hanscom Airforce Base.


Responsibilities:

  • Understand modern software development methodologies and tooling (continuous integration, version control, modern build systems, vulnerability management and dependency management)
  • Ideate and implement approaches to automation, deployment and change management for third party systems/applications (treat operations as a development effort)
  • Write robust automation for provisioning, configuration, deployment, operation of third-party systems/applications
  • Solve complex implementation problems associated with environment parity across multiple environment types.
  • Follow defined software development process to ensure timely delivery of the product, make necessary trade-offs to keep the development on tract ensuring that development and CI/CD configurations adhere to organizational cybersecurity policies


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience
  • Experience deploying, managing, and troubleshooting applications running on Kubernetes (AWS EKS, Rancher, AKS, GKE)
  • Experience working with cloud offerings (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • You have designed and built scalable containerized applications (Docker/Kubernetes, AWS ECS Mesos, EKS, Rancher, AKS, GKE)
  • Experience supporting application teams with onboarding to Kubernetes
  • Experience supporting enterprise production platforms, e.g. AWS EKS, RKE2, AKS, GKEExperience designing, deploying, maintaining, troubleshooting cloud resources, e.g. AWS VPC resources, EC2’s, DNS
  • CompTIA Sec+ certification
  • Experience with infrastructure as code implementations using Terraform and are comfortable building robust automation architectures
  • Experience with Git version control
  • Experience with CI/CD, e.g. GitLab
  • Experience with GitOps, e.g. ArgoCD, Flux
  • Experience with integrating Identity and Access Management systems, e.g. Keycloak, Okta
  • U.S. citizenship
  • Active Secret level security clearance

Experience with the following tools are a plus:

  • Helpful certifications: Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), CKAD, CKS
  • Read,write, and deploy helm charts
  • Platform One BigBang experience
  • Experience hardening Kubernetes clusters and containerized applications
  • Deploying and managing resources to multiple Kubernetes clusters at scale
  • Enabling, configuring and troubleshooting an Istio service mesh
  • Configure, provision and update resources in Terraform
  • Develop Ansible playbooks, bash scripts, CI/CD pipelines, leverage GitOps tooling, to automate deployments
  • AWS storage solutions (S3, EBS, EFS)
  • Shell scripting experience using Gitlab
  • AWS Management Console
  • Vault, DNS, Networking, Storage, Server Management and Monitoring
