Description

Data Intelligence, LLC (DI) is seeking an experienced and qualified Information Systems Security Manager III to support the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) in Philadelphia, PA. This role requires a seasoned professional who will oversee and manage the implementation of an information security program within the organization, ensuring compliance with security standards and practices to safeguard sensitive data and systems.
 

As an Information Systems Security Manager III, you will coordinate with various levels of personnel across the organization, manage resources related to cybersecurity, and play a key role in the development and enforcement of cybersecurity policies. You will be responsible for a broad range of security-related activities, including cyber strategy, personnel management, infrastructure security, emergency planning, and security awareness.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the implementation and management of the information security program at NSWC Philadelphia.
  • Coordinate with senior leadership and internal stakeholders to ensure the integration of security practices across the organization.
  • Develop and enforce cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures to ensure information systems and data are protected.
  • Lead and manage a team of cybersecurity professionals to ensure compliance with federal, state, and industry regulations.
  • Oversee infrastructure security, vulnerability assessments, risk management, and mitigation strategies.
  • Conduct emergency planning and response for information security incidents and breaches.
  • Promote security awareness and training programs for personnel at all levels of the organization.
  • Ensure continuous improvement of security measures, staying up to date with the latest cybersecurity threats and technologies.
  • Support audits, assessments, and other compliance activities as required by federal regulations and NSWC policies.


Required Skills/Experience:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) field from an accredited college or university.
  • At least 8 years of relevant experience in information systems security, with a proven track record of success in managing complex security programs and teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of federal and industry security regulations, including NIST, FISMA, and RMF.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts such as risk management, threat assessment, incident response, and secure systems design.
  • Experience with leading and managing cross-functional teams in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with senior leadership, stakeholders, and technical teams.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high degree of initiative and attention to detail.
  • A current U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance is required.


Required Certifications:

  • At least one of the following IAM -II (Information Assurance Management Level II) certifications:
    • Certified Authorization Professional (CAP)
    • Certified Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP+ CE)
    • Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
    • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Associate
    • GIAC Security Leadership Certification (GSLC)
    • Certified Chief Information Security Officer (CCISO)
    • HealthCare Information Security and Privacy Practitioner (HCISPP)


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) or Navy programs.
  • Familiarity with the Naval Surface Warfare Center’s specific security needs and requirements.
  • Advanced certifications or additional training in cybersecurity and information systems security.
